I set the DRM Revivial 2.0 as a short series for June 10, 17, 24. Would appreciate some track suggestions that fit the horsepower and style of these beasts.

1. 79 Osterreichring (these cars are perfect here) 2. 79 Kyalami or 79 Silverstone 3. Virtua_LM Le Mans 77 or 79
Upgraded ...

here is the info what tracks they raced in RL http://www.wspr-racing.com/wspr/results/drm/nf_drm_home.htmlI always love to race on tracks where actual series raced. If not I would choose Virtua_LM tracks first of all. Rouen and Lemans... Fuji would also be great although we already raced there this year... I have only made reckon laps in those cars and they vary a lot as far as top straightline speed is concerned, so 77-79 Lemans may be too much biased towards cars with top speed.

If we're looking at a 3-week series, I think it would be best to run tracks that are easily learned and set up for the mod...like Silverstone, Osterreichring, Kyalami, Zandvoort and tracks of that nature. You could actually use the same base setup, with track specific tweaks, on all these types of tracks...minimizing any big time investment that some people might not have for tuning their car.
These are all tracks that I imagine most of us have seen in one form or another, especially the layouts used in this mod's timeframe, throughout our virtual racing careers. I myself would like to see Hockenheim, as I don't think we've ever ran anything there.
" Sometimes I wonder whether the world is being run by smart people who are putting us on, or by imbeciles who really mean it." " Politicians are like dirty diapers. They need to be changed often and for the same reason." Mark Twain "I do not suffer from insanity. I enjoy every, single minute of it."

ServerThe server is now available. SimHQ Motorsports 6 Password: GreenHeel Uses DRM Revival 2.0a and Green Hell. Once tired of Green Hell, I'll stick Essington, Toban and Mills on it and leave it open for the populace. Then we'll be ready to run our series after determining the tracks. DownloadsPlease don't post these links anywhere else. TIA. http://SimHQ.net/downloads/motorsports/rfactor/_addons/DRM-REVIVAL2.0.zipExpands to 1.1 GB (750 MB compressed) http://SimHQ.net/downloads/motorsports/rfactor/_addons/DRM-REVIVAL2.0a.rarUpdate File 2.0a (30 MB compressed) http://SimHQ.net/downloads/motorsports/rfactor/SimHQ_2010_GreenHell_2.5/GreenHell.zipThis version is the one we ran back in 2010. Note on it says, "This add-on track is v2.2a modified with the add-on patch "24h Layout AIW Patch (for fuel and paddock)". There are 3 versions of the Ring Touristenfahrten loaded on the server: standard, short, and fall. You can advance to the next layout/session using the voting buttons. June Short SeriesOur DRM Revival 2.0a series will run June 10, 17, 24. Mark your calendars! If you have suggestions for tracks, please add them to this thread.

I do believe I may have to find some time this week for a casual drive through the countryside.

Actually, we should be doing a two track rotation between Green Hell and Targa Florio.

As much fun as this looks like, I would unfortunately miss 2 out of the three races due to travel plans. Will probably sit this one out except for casual participation when able.

Doug, not sure who's side it's on, but I try to download this set and it's only downloading at 32K which will take around 8 hours. I ran a speed test and am running at around 3Mbps which is usually about where I am and usually SimHQ downloads fly for me. SimHQ website is fast and other websites are running fast, just this download is soooo slow. The "Green Hell" d/l is also very slow...around 60K.

Downloads are from the SimHQ server in California.
Anything open on your machine? Games? MS Word? Etc.
Are you using Firefox or Chrome (and not IE)?
Try to just let it download without using the computer (surfing, etc.)
Anyone doing homework or surfing while you're trying to download?
An accelerator is good, but FireFox and Chrome have them built in (I think).
