Falcon drivers work the hardest in a dogfight situation. In that situation, the joystick in the aft position is at a comfortable angle for the wrist/hand for the duration of the turning engagement. (AFAIK)

Angling the stick forward makes it more comfortable when you have it sidestick and have to pull back. I'm open to experimenting with it as I have not screwed it down yet. I'm inclined to keep it angled but very well could remove it from the base plate.

Camo net came via UPS early this morning. Never imagined how much of a pain in the ass it would be. 50cal

Very nice!

Re; stick angle, I'm thinking of doing that myself, but don't know about the angle yet. I've found pulling back on the stick to be a pain, though I'm not over AoA-ing the jet too much because of this smile I wonder if this is a limit of side-stick configs or just because of my bucket seat.

Man, why didn't I ever think of that, I have some camo netting also. Although now I can't put it anywhere in the house.

The headrest cover is my old boot camp laundry bag. biggrin

That gives me an idea... I could take my OD green duffle bag and use it as the seat cover, or at least the back of it. Gives you ejection seat shoulder straps.

Naaa... there is such a thing as taking it too far. pilot

The Mach V has landed! biggrin

I'm still at work. Will post impressions later this weekend.

I think I'll spend most of it getting used to Windows again. The last version I used was XP.

Got the pit hooked up and working, and the MachV is pretty darn impressive. I've only run two things on it so far: Republic Commando and F4BMS 4.32. I've got the MFDs working and will post photos soon. The biggest pain for me so far was reprogramming my two X-Keys units (20 and 58). They are old enough that MacroWorks 3 doesn't work with them. I had to download VirtualPC and WXP from Microsoft (thankfully, free) and program them through MacroRecorder in XP. But they work.

I used to be pretty good in programming in Foxy for the Cougar and earlier TM controllers, but TARGET is Greek to me at first glance. So after cleaning up some, I'll be spending some time with my nose in the manuals. I downloaded Pete's FF5.3 profile just to start with and will create my own as I go.

One thing I'll be doing to make the TARGET and BMS manual reading easier: I put all of the docs for both programs in my Dropbox and will be reading them on my iPad. thumbsup

Didn't have much time during the week, but I do have one photo of the pit in action. I spent most of the week reading the Warthog manuals and spent the weekend in the Script Editor creating my file. I think the biggest thing with the Warthog that'll take getting used to is the microstick. I'm going to have to work on the sensitivity.

Though I still have my Cougar(s) and could conceivably use the F-16 throttle, though I'd like to avoid doing that since I've screwed down the Warthog throttle into the pit.

Oh, and by the way, since taking this picture the plastic wrapping was taken off the TV and I figured out how to remove the window borders in BMS.

I would recommend Morphine's profile for BMS if using the Warthog. biggrin

Nice pit!
