Yeah I agree and am in the same boat, waiting to see how their strategy plays out... not very optimistic about it based on Josh Howard's interview, but I would be happy if they manage to surprise us despite their terrible track record so far.
One thing is for sure no more DLC purchases from me until TIR support is released (if ever they get off their anti hardcore simmer high horse).

First impressions are everything though. They've already probably lost a significant chunk of the audience they were hoping to lure in. Those people probably won't be back. Ironically, it is us "hardcore" simmers that are the most patient and understand things like "6 months" etc... But remember..Flight hates us.. BeachAV8R

I'm hopeful that maybe when (if) Flight tanks with the gamer crowd, they will reassess and take a new direction and tack toward simmers. They could just as easily, however, pull the plug on the whole thing I suppose. I haven't decided in my mind if our genre is better with crappy Flight muddling along or without it.

It's a bit amusing reading the Postings on the Facebook page that are 90% negative and the few that actually like the game defending it because MS says that the negative posts are not reflective of their actual sales, that basically the haters are wrong. Funny but the writing is on the wall, literally.

well that sucks will Microsodt wake up an smell the coffie? No will theay change it in to a proper sim? No the sad thing is Flighjt could have been a qua;y product but with the new Zero and the P45 whats next a Learkett without a cockpit.I can understand having a sim over a small area or not having the whole world hell I can even understand not having real world weather but planes without a cockpit and without tracker IR and without ATC FFS.
LETS ALL WATCH MICROSOFT CHRASH AND BURN

They will lose confidence in the management that projected the concept would sell, of course, and pull the plug. You don't evaluate your target market after you've released your product, and then go back and ask for more budget to redo it all. I don't think it affects what the existing flight simmer audience in the least. It wasn't really aimed at us to begin with, from what I can gather. Ripcord
