Im slightly bermussed by all the "WOW" and "OOHHH" posts as well, its just a IL2 over the same terrain as we have now but white.
And i see the whole new IL2 series will not feature FSAA or DX11.

Pleased the patch is "almost finished" again though.

Still worried about other fixes taking another year or getting them at all.

Not much there today, I think folks are just trying to prevent another melt down.

I did like the Fall terrain colors, the winter terrain looks about a good as you can make blah winter terrain. I would suspect that people working on the AI, etc features were given new builds to start implementing, testing, fixing, their improvements. That should make those feature patches come sooner after the performance/graphics patch is released for testing.

Me too, I don't understand the zealots of the Banana forum.

It looks so like IL-2 from ten years ago, rough aircrafts, poor ground textures, Velvia colors, poor clouds etc...
Very disappointing.

Yes I see what you mean TROOPER. I was okay with the pics, but we'll see what the final product looks like. I don't think they're trying to impress anyone anymore

My character somehow got all twisted up. I was playing the mission where you have to infiltrate the Golden Glow Estate and do multiple things. When I was out burning beehives and fighting I just eventually ran away to view my success from a distance. I first noticed it when I squated down on a tree trunk. Coot..the squatter../simHQ/2011

Well I'm glad that they are posting something rather than hiding in their bunker but it still sounds like they are a way off sorting out the new graphics engine. Last week it was gunsights and tracers as the final hurdle and this week its particle effects ? B6 is talking of them not wanting to release a patch that would be criticised, someone needs to tell them that they could release a brand new version of the game that has fixes across the board, for free and hand deliver it and somebody will still have a moan.

As to BoM I understand the commercial reasons for it but it just doesn't do it for me.
