Umm..OK. But if they were going to go "sim lite", which they clearly did, one would think that they would include some fairly compelling gameplay right? I mean..if they didn't have to spend hundreds of hours counting rivets to satisfy all us "idiots", surely they could have squeezed some gameplay into this game right? Right?? Let's face it. Flight didn't (or hasn't) delivered in any of the areas one might expect..whether you are a gamer or simmer or somewhere between.

Not the "unreasonable hardcore simmers" blame game again... if Flight was supposed to be just for casual external no-cockpit use then why would they include VOR navigation and IFR landing challenges? (glad they did as that is what I am currently enjoying)

I agree that some people went over the top with the discussion during the beta when the missing features first became apparent (thanks to Microsoft's ambiguous marketing), but if you understand anything about IT or Software Development then the current Flight strategy and Roadmap was long set, developed and almost ready for release by then, and that poor reception from the Flightsim community is not the reason for the lame cockpitless airplanes or the lack of TrackIR, even glass half full supporters of Flight (like me) know that.

The people in charge of Flight are making some stupid decisions which are risking the long term success of Flight even for people like me that enjoy it for what it is and have higher hopes for it, they are the ones to be held responsible, not the reception from the community.

OMG!! You people are such whiners!! Can't you see how much fun it is searching for aerocaches... without TrackIR? It's nostalgic, like going back to the late 90's although with better graphics. And you guys diss the Zero? How stupid can you "hardcore" simmers be? They said before, this is supposed to be a game wherein grandkids can enjoy the "magic of flight" with their grandparents! What's more fun than watching granpa have nervous twitches and scream out in terror as the Jap Zero of his youth (or younger days) comes back to haunt him? OOOoooo!!!

I wonder where MS gets the idea that there's a demand for this? Online in Flight I have only seen a few people flying P51s and usually it's because they just bought it and are talking about "how do I enable the cockpit?" until someone disappoints them with the truth.

Really MS should have simply made their own competing products for FSX.

I played it a little last night was bored of flying alone so I kept using the quick join feature in the multiplayer till I found a room with about 8-9 players and started flying, haven't figured out how to use the radio yet since there's no documentation I know of but I set out towards the name icons for my fellow flyers. But apparently the host got bored and he quit and everyone disappeared and once again I was playing completely by myself. In other Live games the host quits someone else becomes the new host, you don't lose everyone but since there is no interaction in multiplayer I guess it is a moot point.
