Thats a great set up RK, in fact probably my favourite desk bound system that I have seen. My desk is infinitely less grand than yours. More like a normal office T-Leg desk.

I also run a Fanatec that has frankly p*ss poor clamps for the wheel so it would need to be hard mounted.

I have seen the desk clamp that Fanatec sell for a generous £40 delivered on ebay and i am umming and ahhing over it or paying triple for a wheelstand that i can move to my big tv for some forza and gt5.

Having said all this i have today eliminated one of my big desks and gone to a purely triple screen system and eliminated my 4th monitor that i was using stand alone.. I have a lot more space but the rig is still the "elephant in the room" so to speak.

It is.

Please Myrig, give a look at my system, I mean it could be interesting.

What I do is fix the wheel to the "upper deck" of the desk. It seems high but is in fact only 70cm.
I built my desk by myself, took less than 60€ and it's easy to adjust dimensions to fit anything on it.

If interested I can post the technical drawings I made on SketchUp. :p

Sorry if I bothered.

Hi Komemiute,
Thats a great idea, the problem is i have limited tools and woodworking ability. I have instead bought the fanated desk mount plate for a good price and will move to that instead of teh full rig.

Thanks for taking the time to point me towards your desk pit.

I see! biggrin No problem, was fun to show off anyway wink

Just keep in mind that most of the work can/should be done by the people selling you wood. They cut it for me.
All you have to do is sand-paper the edges and main surfaces and paint it! smile

Glad you sorted it out eventually.
Enjoy!
