Just played three missions, but it "hooks" from first. Thanks also to the incredible Solomon's map. Guadalcanal, Savo, Tulagi, Iron Bottom Sound... are legends for who did read Bernard Millot's "La Guerre du Pacifique".

Tough choice of aircraft, especially when you land and, while beach approaches, think:<<Damn! It has no braaakeees!!!>> smile

Cool screenshot Greybeard. smile

That first mission is a doozy time wise if you don't fly with the autopilot but so far the following missions flying without using the autopilot has been just fine. I would recommend this campaign too.

Believe it or not, I flew it mostly in manual, looking at beautiful landscape! Jumped only about ten minutes over sea, after leaving Florida Island, by time skipping function.

Well, maybe he exaggerated a bit. Actual photos of seaplane bases are following ones:

I'll have to check this campaign out.

Somewhat related question regarding the Solomon's map. Anyone else experiencing very long wait times after flying a mission on this map? My computer is pretty much an antique these days (only 1 GB of RAM for instance), but it loads a QMB mission on the Solomon's map in 30-40 seconds. Ending the mission however takes several minutes before returning to the menu again! Loading the mission should be the hard part, no?

I think times to load and exit mission that you're experiencing are anomalous. I've an old rig too, but spend less than one minute to load and seconds to exit.
