Just looking for a head count of who's planning on getting this (Xbox 360) and if anyone is interested in forming a SimHQ Country Club (Magnum?).

Sorry NO... stopped doing EA Sport games a few years ago... love there sport games, and love the golf series... but 60 bucks a year for a updated game, then 10 bucks for each course every year, usually around a dozen, then now there micro-fund crap... would love to but EA Sports can suck on my... never mind...

Yeah, I don't generally buy the DLC courses. Huge rip-off, price-wise, if you ask me. But, the collector's edition this year has a lot of new courses they haven't done before so I'm thinking of getting it. They also have a completely new swing mechanic. I'm hoping it'll make the game tougher.
Anyway, just thought I'd ask.

I did try the demo and really liked it... just hate their sport game business model.

Yeah, slash, I knew you were getting it. Good to know someone is.
Magnum, I agree. I don't like their practices with their sports games either. It's just that this season year's game will have a handful of courses they haven't had before or haven't had in a long time (Kiawah Island, Crooked Stick and PGA National, to name a few).
The new swing mechanic looks like it might give the player more options while also (maybe) being more challenging.
I'm disappointed there's still no Bay Hill. Bummer. One of my favorite courses (and is the stage for this week's stop on the real PGA Tour).

Leemz, I joined the SimHQ CC and I'll pick up the game tomorrow. Do you think the collectors edition is worth the extra $10 for the 5 additional courses and the other stuff? Since the DLC courses usually run about $10 each, it seems like a good value.
