Taken at face value the last update was frank and conrite but it was imo far too little and far too late. If this post had come out before Christmas with a chaser along the lines of 'while we are working through the issues we will run a few weekly updates showing stuff that we want to do in the future' that would have worked for me and I think it would have worked for others too. Instead there were indicators of updates coming down the pipes 'very shortly' followed by basically 'we dont like your attitude and won't talk to you any more', followed by the 1C forum being left to go into meltdown. Then this...

Trust is earned and I have what I think are well founded doubts based on past performance. Prove me wrong so this becomes the game I prefer to start up, either on my own or with others in my squad and I will be very happy indeed.

Il end up buying BOM anyway no matter what happens, we all know it. Got to support the genre so Chivas told me.

Yep, support the genre, h#ll I still buy a couple of aircraft for ROF a sim I never fly anymore. ROF has decent developers that I would like to see continue to build combat flight sims. Not sure why you fellas still think that COD will never be finished. COD will be fixed no matter when BOM is released. Some fixes will come before BOM's release and some after. Things like new Campaigns and Missions will be done by the community.

Not bitter or better. Just stating the most likely scenario and I'm not biting. I'm sure it won't work on you either, because I'm sure you are smart enough not to fall for it either.

This.

There is a lot of people at who have spent a lot of time in the FMB making brilliant campaigns/careers and utilities for IL2. I don't know why they don't know reach out to the community for assistance with these areas.Well made static campaigns blow away anything that il2 ever delivered out of the box in all of its version and it isn't even worth mentioning CloD's campaign or single missions. They are just pathetically hopeless.

Good to hear from him and he does seem confident they have something worthwhile on their hands now.Been a hard year for them , but at least they have a lowpoint that they should never be able to reach again smile

Fingers crossed for the future.

My character somehow got all twisted up. I was playing the mission where you have to infiltrate the Golden Glow Estate and do multiple things. When I was out burning beehives and fighting I just eventually ran away to view my success from a distance. I first noticed it when I squated down on a tree trunk. Coot..the squatter../simHQ/2011

biggrin

It's a good thing (for me) that I don't submit updates like these to my boss or to my customers; this is probably the same for many others here. I wouldn't last two weeks, be sure! LOL

Ha! These days selling fine wine I would have no customers to sell to. Back in the day when I sold Canadian whisky to a wide variety of hotels & bars....some of my customers would be telling my boss where to find me! Just kidding......I think. LOL
