I do not care, I support them that's all!! And lets say $20,- is not that big loss.
What I more like to see is a give-a-way system like with the planes so you can gift your friends with st Mihiel map or that personal pack etc.
And of course Jason needs all the $$$ to do the developments!!!

I wish they had a gift system like on steam. Right now you can only gift planes and you have to buy one plane at a time with the gift button. I recently gifted 3 planes and got a call from my cc company asking if my card was stolen. Too many small purchases I guess all in a row.

So tell all your friends, your friends friends and that one guy you don't even like that much to get out there and get to buying Rise of Flight!

So I would not worry so much about when its going to come out. I would worry more about if they are going to come out at all. That is why there is a no refunds policy on the new map and the three planes left available for pre order.

Hate to point out facts, but if need be I can dig up the post from Jason himself on the RoF forums regarding this issue.

Pretty bleak prediction given their track record. I am glad you are not a loan officer at a bank.

What prediction did I make? Not enough money...no map or planes, that does not sound like a prediction to me. Sounds pretty cut and dry.

Track record? What does what was done with the game before this have to do with anything I stated in my post? They posted planes, people pre ordered them and got the plane they pre ordered, pretty plain and simple. However upon the announcement of the channel map and three new planes it changed. They have stated that if they do not get the funds to continue to develop the game then its over, period. What I said was not a prediction, it is a fact.

Like I said I want them as much as anyone else, So 45 dollars might not seem like a lot of money to some people. But some of us with children and a budget its a lot of money.

It has always been the case that if the money wasn't sufficient to continue development, then "it's over." Jason has been consistent on this point and it's been the case long before the announcement of the new map. The statements you refer to are just another iteration of him being explicit and honest about that. So nothing has changed.

Therefore, Redcoat is correct to cite their track record as solid evidence that they deliver what they promise (which, btw, includes more than just planes: e.g. new campaign, mods, beta Career). You may not have predicted anything, but your assessment that it is better to save your money than "risk" it by pre-ordering the channel map is not supported by their track record, which was his point.

Not only that but it contributes to the downfall of the sim.

I was only saying that I wouldn't worry about it too much. They will be made.

Made or not made - there is that which I can control and that which I cannot. I can buy the products and I try to enhance the game as my skill set allows. That is the extent of my ability to influence events. The rest I don't worry about.

I look at it this way: I spent around $65 on the new map & the three aircraft.

I spend lots more than that in the pub on a Saturday night, with a cast iron guarantee of absolutely no return on the money I spend. It's small beer, don't worry about it.
