Did you connect to the actually computer specific IP of the host, or did you use the external IP adress? Basicly if you are connected to the internet, each computer has one IP, but your house/apartment/cottage/tent/whatever you are living in has another IP, which is the one you use to connect via the internet, but for LAN you need to use the computer specific IP. And no, no ports are required.
Yeah, that's what I'm trying. I used ipconfig to get the host computer's IP address.
To set up the flight I am trying this:
A] On the host:
- Use ipconfig to determine the IP address.
- From the Falcon UI, click "COMMS"
- leave the ip field as 0.0.0.0
- enter 2000 for BW
- click connect
B] on the client:
- Click Comms
- enter the IP address from the host computer determined above
- enter 2000 for BW
- click connect
After going through A, I see that Goblin is in the lobby.
After B, I get a "failed to connect" message.
