A keyboard?

My flail mace (I'm too cheap for a gun).

That's it... bash 'em over the head.

I wouldn't use one of those, far to flimsy and expensive.
I've got an old Compaq keyboard that would do better, tough as old boots and weighs about as much as two house bricks.
Here in good old blighty your gonna get nicked if you bash a burglar so you might as well make it worth while.

Whichever one I happen to be carrying at the time, if not there’s usually a blade handy…plus bludgeoning weapons are easily improvised, my Louisville Slugger is a favorite but any heavy object will suffice.

Hmm I think the basement scene from Tremors comes to mind. I've no idea which one I'll grab, what ever is closest I suppose.

I will take this opportunity to point out that one of my buddies at work, also a fellow gun nut, has a Maasai/Zulu spear from Kenya (I believe that is where he got it). Anyway, we laugh all the time about his plan:

If there is one guy, he just blasts away with the scattergun. If there are two, he says it would be "cool" to chuck the spear through #1 from the top of the stairs, and #2 would of course be like "WTF? Was that a spear??!!??" at which time my buddy vaporizes #2 with the scattergun.

It tells much better in person that in print but I'm sure you get the idea and it is freaking hysterical.

Same here. A round from my Mosin carbine would go through my apartment walls and probably through a couple of others as well, not to mention a couple of windows would break from the shockwave of the muzzle blast.
