And the Saints basically got the death penalty. Sean Payton suspended for a year, Loomis 8 games, lost this years and nexts 2nd round picks and they haven't even started suspending the players yet. This is just going to be ugly.

What did the Saints team do to get this disciplinary action from the NFL?

Bountygate. They put bounties on players and gave extra money to players for injuring other teams players. 22-27 players participated in it from the Saint and more than a few of them will get suspensions also.

Gregg Williams (D-Coord for Rams now) got an indefinite suspension and it will be revisited after the 2012 season.

Aye. 'Cash 4 Pain' lol, I remember reading this on the BBC. Its said players would be payed in the region of 1,500 USD for a 'knockout' and other injury type situations, and the payments would increase during playoffs. Its not new though, I think it even goes back to around 2009, from memory.

Tebow to the Jets? Didn't Cromartie say they don't need Tebow? He makes for an exciting hi-light reel, but I just don't think he's an NFL QB that's going to improve or lead a team to the Superbowl. The way the NFL is now I don't think there will be a team that accents his talents. He's not a guy who can throw the ball 40 times and make consistant progress to the end zone. The Jets are a team ripe for implosion. MAYBE that's what Tebow can help avert, but I'm not too sure anyone can stop that.

Didn't some Green Bay players do this as well back in the late 80's? I remember Jim McMahon getting grabbed and slammed from behind by a Green Bay player that had the jersey numbers of the bounty players written on his uniform. Disgusting.
