Why do they keep trying to resurrect this? They tried years ago with Ben Cross too, IIRC.
In the 70's it was played late at night. Even then it was bad tv. LOL
If they mocked the poor technical aspects and the cheapness of the original production, this could be funny. Now, I just see this as another boring Tim Burton movie. While I enjoyed some of Burton's work, he's a painter with only one brush stroke. Everything looks the same. He lost me at "Planet of the Apes." Depp is losing any credibility as an actor with me. Where's the guy I loved in "Fear and Loathing" "Chocolate" "Finding Neverland" Gilbert Grape?" Heck, I even liked his first version of Jack Sparrow, but enough is enough. I don't think I'll watch another of his movies.
I think there was a short lived ressurrection of D.S. on network TV back in the late 80s. I never caught it, but my sister enjoyed it.
