It's just so sad that a large part of the negativity that's haunted the CloD community for months could've easily been avoided by something so simple as better information policy. There are few consumer groups out there that are as supportive as flightsim fans. Sure, we like to moan and b*tch around a lot and expect nothing short of perfection, but in exchange we are a very loyal bunch.
I really would love to know if Luthier is actually aware of how damaging to his and the series' name this communication breakdown actually is. It's been pointed out that both Rise of Flight and DCS:A-10 also needed quite some time after the initial (beta) releases to fully mature. That's true, I bought both sims the moment they were available. And none of them was perfect. Or is, for the matter. But if you compare the developers' communication the difference between 777 studios, Eagle Dynamics and Luthier is nothing short of amazing. The only explanation I have is that CloD's team is extremely understaffed and Luthier basically sits at his PC, coding 24/7, simply having no time for anything else.
Again: I don't need weekly updates. If there's nothing to report, report nothing. But give us something substantial every now and then.
