Does anyone know if there are historic aces integrated into the beta campaign?

I have quite a bit of time flying the beta campaigns for both sides and I haven't come across one.

It's been a while now but in the past (before the last software upgrade) I was occasionally being "challenged" by "un-named" aces.

A little while back i shot down Von Richthoven. I think I put a report in the after action section.,Haven't seen him since. I do wonder that the rank of the opponent gives a clue to status.

Oh, I didnt realize that there were two campaigns. I had been thinking that everything I had read was regarding the campaign that comes with the game. I will do some reading and maybe try out the unofficial one. Does anyone have any pointers? Have the majority of the bugs been fixed?

Soo....after much reading (all 126 pages) I have decided to download Patrick's campaign. It sounds quite amazing, and like it resolves some of the things I was missing in the beta. Thanks for your input guys, I really appreciate it. cheers

People are getting the wording mixed up here with regards to what comes with the game. There is career mode, which is where the missions are generated by the game based on the type of aircraft and for which squadron you are flying. Career mode covers the time period from late 1916 to the Armistice.

Campaign mode is any of the static, non-branching campaigns, including Du Doch Nicht, St. Mihiel, and Hat in The Ring. All of them currently take place in 1918.

Point noted. I was referencing the Career Beta. I suppose that was just a force of habit from other games I have played in the past.

VMI: I am used to using the word "campaign" in the same sense - career mode. That's why I called my software RoFCampaign smile.
