There you go again, spreading your negative point of view, misinforming people!

This sim is absolutely brilliant, except for those who are really short sighted, it is just not finished.

Furthermore it is all there is, and probably will come, in the foreseeable future.

So by telling everybody how bad it is, in your pov, you, and all other people lamenting for their 50 bucks, actively work against the only people who can give us the solution.

A really harebrained choice of action for everybody who wants to have a good wwii cfs.

Thank god the viewers of these forums are a minor percentage of the potential buyers, and the nay sayers a even more minor percentage thereof.

What you are saying is that you are allowed to express your point of view, but anything other than that shouldn't be allowed, because you only want us to have the same view as yourself.. A highly autocratic forum is what you are after then, only views that conform allowed..
Rob, please allow us to say what we believe, even if it doesn't coincide with you.. that's what living in a democracy is all about.

That's right Rob CLOD is safe because most of the new potential buyers people wont know of this forum, they will prob check the online or magazine reviews of CLOD first.....oh...wait... rolleyes

Well, that just proves who is short sighted. doesn't it? biggrin

One can either promote this sim, warts and all, and hope for success, or

stay neutral, read only and enjoy the sparse informations, or

work against this sim by repeating very often and very vocal how one was cheated/ripped off/lied to and telling about the numerous fails of the sim,

the last point is really malicious as there is nobody who is included in the fixing, who didn't already know of all faults of the sim.

So it is propaganda against CoD, which for me, as i am already loving what i got, is despicable, as in reduces the probability for CoD to become a bug-free fun for all.

So, if everybody posting here loves CoD, and the devs already know all bugs and faults and are working on fixes, where is the reason to repeat well known points over and over?

I hate being lied to Robek, i dislike the same old BS excuses from the devs, while at the same time they promote the next product to try and take my money before fixing CLOD.
If people keep telling me im wrong and CLOD is fantastic when i can plainly see it isn't im going to speak up.

If i saw every couple of months a patch that fixed something and it stayed fixed, if there was real progress in each patch and a real road map to follow that was going to make CLOD the sim we all want then things would be different.

Robtek, what are the Luthiers plans to improve CLOD? i mean not what you think might happen or what might be added in BOM, what is the plan that you have seen Luthier write about?

Where is CLOD going after the graphics patch?

So Furbs, seriously, why do you stick around if you hate it so much? Personally, I love CoD, even with its huge problems. Most of my squad refuse to play it until its fixed, they try sometimes, get frustrated, and go do something else. I imagine thats the majority view. If I was that p*ssed off with it, I would forget about it for a while like my squad has done. They have other things in their lives. If somebody doesn't have anything to think about other than a game thats pretty sad.
Spending hours a day on forums going on and on about the same things ad naseum smacks of some sort of OCD.
Not sure if you have any interest in RoF, but there is a very interesting thread running there now, over 22 pages, of people listing very valid complaints about the sim. There have been a couple of personal attacks in it, involving, funnily enough, the same people I see on the CoD forum, and these were quickly removed by the mods.Otherwise, the thread is respectful, you can tell the people complaining love RoF, as do I, but problems that have been there for over 2 years are still not fixed (crap AI, sniper gunners, poor FM's etc, sound familiar? )and it looks like people are walking away. And these are people that have spent hundreds of pounds on planes and content, and thousands on updating computers. I bought pretty much everything they make, and these days I hardly play it. It doesn't grab me like CoD, which is where I spend my limited game time.
The community is VERY different in RoF, from very young to very old, but they on the whole seem a lot more patient than the CoD community. After all, they have been waiting over 2 years for fixes, and it looks like only now people are losing interest, and thinking that the problems may never be solved. Thier forum is on the whole very positive, one of the reasons is because in the beginning anyone who complained was swiftly removed (remember the mod Lefty...) and the other is because Jason has made it very very clear that negative comments all the time on forums is killing them. He even has people posting on review sites like amazon to counter the negative reviews.
So, negative forums and reviews do hurt a company, and obviously some people really do want these games to fail. They have a strange hatred for Maddox, 777, or whatever. I wonder what they will do next when that happens.
