Here we go again with another round of missions, which shall serve as a gentle introduction to the 'fine' art of blowing things up!
Kyth Mission 2_01
In this semi-historical scenario, a new offensive has just kicked off in Crimea. Now it's time for 22nd Panzer (that's you) to play a crucial part in the opening battles. Try not to screw up (heh heh heh)!
The following mods are required to run these missions:
i. Steel Panzer Mod v1.5 (beta) ii. SPM1.5 beta fix iii. Unofficial Patch SF v0.1 iv. SPM1.5 NTA 1.3 or SPM1.5 NTA1.4 (choose either one) v. Popgunsv2 (highly recommended)
The “Popguns mod” can be downloaded here: http://www.4shared.com/rar/l6Qps8i1/Popgunsv2.html and activated / deactivated separately using JSGME. It's a modified common_res.engcfg file, based on 'NTA 1.4'.
Alternatively, you may want to change the following lines manually in the 'shells()' section:

Heh heh heh... It's time again for another nail-biting experience.

For your amusement and delight, I've done a little Intro video in the 'Steel Fury' style. Enjoy!

I'd be interested to hear about your brilliant successes playing this mission
There might be more on the way, you know

If you're burned out on modern-day and not-so-modern-day armoured battles, it's a good idea to take a break and gain some perspective...
Take a good look at something that harkens back to a time when men were men and their tincans were tincans...
Might I suggest giving my new Panzer 38(t) missions a test-drive. Who knows, you might actually prefer them!

[Re: Kyth]
The "Popguns" mod is a couple of modified lines in the common_res.engcfg config file. Some of the AP shells are under-powered with the standard settings. The mod boosts their performance to deal better with lightly armoured opponents. But don't worry, they don't become super weapons, just slightly more capable.

I have come to the conclusion that for some, the next mission might be a little 'too hot to handle'.
However, I am sure that with a little application of real-life tactics, you will soon be able to see it through!
So watch out, it's coming soon!

Things are about to get even tougher in the next mission (that's Mission 5, of course)! Now, if you have any grouses about that, kindly let me know, I'm full of helpful advice and hints. I am sure that with the proper tactics, you will emerge triumphant!

It's a series of missions for 'Steel Fury' - a WW2 Tanksim released quite a while ago,
Highly recommended!
By the way, a quick run-down of the various releases (and acronyms) from Graviteam. Their names are quite similar:
(SF42) for Steel Fury 42
(SA:BoW) for Steel Armor: Blaze of War
(AP:OS) for Achtung Panzer: Operation Star
(AP:K43) for Achtung Panzer: Kharkov 1943

OK trying this out Kyth, by the way thanks for all your help. I'm really liking this its got great graphics and great physics.
Just takes a little to get past the UI Russians way of doing things. you would think they would make the UI more intuitive?

It's possible you don't have 'user_camp.engcfg', since they only appear after creating a new user mission. Never mind! rename the 2 included text files 'user_camp.txt' and 'user_camp_list.txt' to 'user_camp.engcfg' and 'user_camp_list.engcfg' respectively.
