I did as suggested and removed the baseplate and mounted directly to the wood pad. Works great. Used small matching machine screws with the hex head so that I can quickly and easily remove the stick from the wood if I need to. Plenty of room outboard for the mouse pad now. I would like to cut some angles into the wood to lower the profile on the seat side a bit more though..

Getting there.. smile

Thinking of going back to side-stick configuration too. Especially as I'm playing BMS as well. Very difficult having the stick in front of you all the time.

I'm currently looking for seat ideas.

I am using a computer desk armoire like this but with the bottom shelving removed and I have placed my pedals in that space.

I am using one of these basic computer chairs:

I am ready to try something like what Beach has constructed out of his chair.

@Beach what brand/model chair are you using?

I think the reason it worked for Beach was because he had a chair that had brackets underneath to hold some arm rests which he converted to "joystick-and-throttle rests."

@Ice I know it wouldn't work for my current chair. I wanted to know what actual chair BeachAV8R was using so I could replicate what he did to replace what I currently have.
