Well, I need to place an order....hoping in the Amazon Used Market Place.
Do you think the manual would be included on the disk? There's a cheapo being offered as disk only that I've ordered
Please tell me if it will have the pdf docs on disk.
I did find this manual, but it appears to be corrupted in areas..

CuMelter, there is a link to the manual on the TSH link Falstar gave you. I highly recommend the TSH addon if you intend to run the sim on a modern computer. Have fun!

Thanks for chiming in. No no, this system ain't modern. But it runs Falcon Allied Force w/full graphics in the campaigns with ease.
It'll run IL-2 1946 w/full graphics w/ease.
Same goes for LOMAC.

My system: (newly built in February)
Intel D915GAG
Intel Prescott P4 3.2 Ghz
Windows XP sp2 32-bit...Back Doors Sealed Shut
F-Secure Defense Systems on the fly
500 watt p/s
2Gb Crucial Ram
3Gb permanent swapfile
Seagate SATA 200 Gb HD
Asus GeForce 8400 512 Mb
Toshiba 42" using 'Full' spread
RealTek OnBoard audio
Realistic STA-780 Rebuilt
Realistic pair of Optimus One Rebuilt
Logitech Attack Force 3 stick

So do you think I should delve into the SuperHornet addons and so forth?
I remembered the days of the 'glass cockpit', so for spits & giggles I ordered the used disk from someone last night.
Jane's FA/18 really did have alot going for it back then so for 10 bucks I figured lets see how it would fair on this system...which is three times what I had back ten years ago.

CuMelter, that looks like a very capable rig. My suggestion was about Janes F/A18 being 12 years old and running stabler on older hardware than newer hardware. The TSH addon addresses some of the problems with running F/A18 on modern computers with newer OS's. But it is a grand old sim and well worth the time to set it up.

Thanks, Rudel-
I'm over at the F/A-18 Resource site now.
But I don't know what you guys are telling me to get.
I understand the prob w/newer systems, so what file should I bring down-
I've tried the Utilities Link...nogo
Same for AddOns..

Or do you want me to bring down everything I see from the other links-
IE..F/A-18E..AI Aircraft..Misc Skins..Scenery...?????
Sorry, its late, the coffee pot's empty and I'm ticked that I have to get up
and make more...and I feel stupid for having to bother ya on specifics.
Thanks Big Time-
Ed

Im not sure why the site is not working for you... try this and click on the pictures to get the v1.01 patch, Manual and Key Card

http://www.jf18-resource.com/utilities.htm

TSH is Team Super Hornet. It is a team who work in their free time to update and/or fix this simulation. They have a patch v4.02. A lot of people here use v3.06 though.

CuMelter, By far, the easiest install of Janes F/A18 with TSH v3.06 is with the One Click Updater. You can get it here http://www.vfa-41.net/index.php?pr=FA-18_Utilities. Do a clean install of F/A18 and then apply the One Click Updater. The Updater even applys the Janes 1.01 patch so don't apply the patch separately. After TSH is installed, set the ingame resolution to the same as your desktop or the sim will CTD. This is done in the Fa18_TshV3manager on the Other Settings tab. You will have a short cut to TshV3Manager on you desktop, if I remember this correctly.
