One of the mod has gone crazy... the entire thread has been cancelled... not moved. CANCELLED.

And he's locking threads without a motivation.

Do you know anything about it Uther?

Actually all the posts have been moved to "the crystal ball" thread.

Good to know.

Have you read something about it or you've found it out because of a coincidence?

It doesn't matter what the developer says their will be a group who will spam the forums with negative comments. Oleg was very good at not letting them get to him at least publicly. The negative group is larger this time around as the sim was released unfinished. Luthier doesn't take the negativity as well as Oleg. so he has decided to avoid the forums, keep his head down, and just keep working. He knows that even when the sim is in a good state their will be always be issues for the negative groups to spam the forums with. Some of the negative posts will be worded in a constructive manor while others will be insulting. In the end the success of the sim won't depend on Friday updates, or community involvement, it solely depends on the state of the sim when its finished. If the end result is good, it will be successful, no matter whats said in the forums. On that note I will stop responding to what I thought were unfair criticisms. ~Salute~

I agree, it was a bit mean, but then that's karma for using a pre-render for those landscape overfly shots in the vid wink

More OT: SimHQ don't do the infraction games, and no-one comes back from a perma-ban. The easiest way to get turfed forever is to forget that the rules that apply to members also apply to the developers. You can 'criticize but not libel' and it's amazing how many gravestones are marked forgetting that.

As for poor BlackSix, I am mixed between feeling sorry for him vs thinking that if it's his job then that's not an ideal way to handle things. The language/culture barrier is probably making things worse, as per usual too.
