Get Helios here. Note that it does not replace TARGET if you want to make a profile, ie I will not use Helios to map controls if I want to make a profile for Falcon 4 BMS. The only reason I use Helios to map my VAC PTT is because DCS A10C is plug-and-play compatible with the TM Warthog. Once you use TARGET to map your PTT, it will mess with the PnP and you will have to map everything to TARGET just to get the HOTAS working again as before --- too much trouble just for a PTT. So Helios is a very convenient workaround.

<sarcasm>mapping A-10C commands in target trouble? Nahhh...never!!!</sarcasm> Thanks for the download link. The only reason I went to all the trouble was to use a PTT for teamspeak and VAC as well as commands for TARS. Thinking Helios may be easier....

TS3 PTT can be mapped straight from TS3 itself. The throttle switches has to be in such a state that none of them are "on" for TS3 to recognize the input command though. I got Mic Switch UP mapped as my TS3 PTT. As for TARS, I've not really tried it, but I do know a few fliers have mapped Mic Switch Fwd/Down/Aft as TARS VHF AM/UHF/VHF FM without having to go to TARGET.

I have a Warthog HOTAS and have my mic switch up mapped to TS3 PTT and mic switch fwd/down/aft mapped in TARS. The TARS Control Panel had a little difficulty in recognizing the HOTAS inputs, but repeated button presses finally worked and I had no problems with TARS detecting the button presses in game. I also did not need to specially configure the HOTAS before either TS3 or TARS would recognize my button presses.

Thanks for the replies, gents. However, since I can't even get the activation email for Helios to come through in order to download it, I will stick to my target profile. Once again, thanks for the replies and for trying to help.

Einstein,
Did your mapping of the Mic Switch to TARS interfere with the A-10C in-sim functions for the radios?

WC, those that map TARS to the Mic Switch usually re-map the fwd/dwn/aft to shifted-fwd/dwn/aft as the former is used more often.
