Happened to me too.
Try cycling radar mode and go RWS, re-acquire target again.
When target is in range, HOT Trigger light on front dash will be lit up, now you can fire missiles.
Make sure you are in STT mode when operating AIM-7.

Looks good so far, only tried a couple of anti-ship strikes biggrin

One weapon I am missing though, is the Harpoon. WOuld make anti-ship strikes easier wink

Now that ThirdWire avionics includes Multi-Target Tracking, I think you have to have a missile selected in order to acquire a target. I think that's how the avionics knows whether you're wanting to engage just one or start prioritizing targets for a ripple fire launch.

When you hit the Insert key to acquire your target (and you have selected the AIM-54A) you should see a little number pop up next to the target on the radar. That's your shootlist. You can designate up to six and then just start letting the Buffaloes fly.

Right now, though, there are so many other game-breakers that this is the least of the customers' worries.

Yup. I have been saying that since the pre-release screnshots showed A-6s and A-7s attacking Soviet boats like it was WW-II.

For the harpoons to work TK would have to have some way to lock onto target very far away. For example ground radar that can lock onto targets.

It seems they've heard you in the meantime wink

Maybe they're saving the A-6 for a DLC release.

But seriously, we need some patches first to fix all the problems.. And some more content would be nice for a more varied campaign. I know the options are kinda limited for a North Atlantic scenario, but Fleet Defender never made it feel boring..

Cruise missiles now have a separate catogory (and corresponding .dll file), and seem to have no problem acquiring targets that are over the horizon.

We need to get ahold of the SF2NA cat extractor to see how they work.

This week, TK says. Lots of thing I want to look at and do. Made the A-6E TRAM flyable, but it needs LGB support, and I hope we can put AWACS over Central Europe to direct Eagles. Lets get some of those user-made E-3's up to this standard.
