The other possibility, and one I see as being more likely, is that the programmer that does FM, AI, maps, and objects is now working on the sequel, only the graphics engine guy is still working on the current game. This is why every thing posted now is pointing to the new game, except for the rework of the graphics, which will probably be our last patch before the new material is out.

Its like the excuse for update is because of the "holiday in Russia", Luthier lives in California and speaks perfect Engish, the ROF guys roll out another interesting and exciting blog, yet CLOD cant simply write few lines a day early.
You cant ask questions about the patch at 1C anymore which is crazy, you would of thought Luthier would be busting a gut to promote the patch and answer questions but no its a info blackout just like it always is, and the reason is the same too.

Programmers working on the AI, Commands, etc features aren't defined by the theater so your assumption that somehow the programmers are only working on the sequel is quite flawed.

First off I believe Luthier has been living in Russia since taking over the project. Second what exactly can he tell us that we don't already know. We know they are testing the patch and fixing the bugs that surface and then retesting, so even he can't say for certain when the patch will be done until its done.

So Luthier should just say he cant be bothered and not use the excuse of the holiday.
Though Chivas how long would it take to say a few words on other things? lets say how AI, FM, CEM or radio commands have changed in 4 months? it doesn't have to be much, just a idea of whats coming, 5 mins? 10?

If the idea is to release a graphics beta patch and then a full retail patch why hasnt Luthier told us this? the only people saying it are the people making things up to defend the developers.
Where has the roadmap for CLOD gone? we used to have one, though since we got it about 3 months after release almost nothing has been added or fixed apart from the sound and even that doesn't work 100% yet, 2 variants of 109 and not much else.

The idea is to keep us hanging on while they finish BOM.

Well furbs, that is just your opinion.

I think the most vocal community members, regretfully along with the rest, are just getting all the information they deserve, regarding to the behaviour to previous informations of any kind by the devs.

Sometimes i wonder what the people think they have bought for 15 to 70 bucks?

And if they aren't satisfied with the product, why didn't they return it and got a refund, as some have done successfully.

No. there is endless lamenting, why don't they return it and buy it again when it is in a satisfactory state for them?

This way not every thread about CoD would get derailed by always the same arguments.

But then, that is only my opinion and definitely not shared by everyone.

Steam doesn't give refunds robtek, and both sides derail threads.
Were all as guilty of that, your derailing this one! neaner

I'm pretty sure Steam hasn't changed about giving refunds. I recommended this game to my brother, who was looking for something with more depth than your typical RPG/RTS he'd been playing, and his comp is good enough to get decent expectations out of it. 3 days later, he wanted his money back, and Steam told him no way. This was late January.
