Maybe I'm morbid, but I'm loving these pics! The fact that the skin is peeled back, exposing the structure underneath...the flames, smoke, bullet holes, missing control surfaces...

They do have a wonderful-bordering-on-insane level of detail for the damage model. I had a good time destroying aircraft even on the ground (via script). Here's a recap of the parts you can change the state of in an aircraft:

Expand it here:

via these old chestnuts

http://simhq.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/3361385/1.html

plus an add-in to do this to yourself mid-air etc

http://simhq.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/3385237/New_API_in_the_Beta.html

I do hope they get the patches out soon, as reading the old posts makes me want to scratch an itch of some cool things to quickly code up.

Yeah, I know the feeling, but here at SimHQ the tradition is that people only post to b!tch about the sim, not to show appreciation of the effort by actual fans of the sim.

With that said I'm finished with reposting 1C update images, for non-1C-forum-members: nobody in the SimHQ forums gives a damn' anyway.

Being negative is so much more work than being positive, when criticizing you have to work and then you must rebuild everything you have to work again this is too much effort. Be positive it is less work. pilot

I am glad to be a positive guy, and glad that you are a positive fellow too. I know those around me like it a lot too.

As for the whiners, I pity those who must have to live around them in everyday life. Because one thing is for sure: they aren't completely opposite out there, they're not happy and positive people in real life. They are the kind of people that suck every ounce of energy out of those around them... The kind of people I do all I can to avoid in real life. Too bad we have to live with them in these forums.

Ooooh, somebody shot at a Tiger Moth... Barbarians!

Is that actually a flap of aluminium bent out from the side of the He-111 fuselage? Never saw that before!
