They don't know...I can tell you though that you need a 2gb card and then your system should be good enough for med. settings.

It should have been obvious to us, that SLI, 2D Clouds, etc where immediately put on hold when they decided that they had to rewrite the graphics engine. What would have been the point of releasing any work on these features when the core graphics they depend on were being rewritten.

That should change in a few weeks when the performance patch is released.

The problem with CLOD is IMO Luthier doesn't have the love for the game as Oleg did, Luthier seems to be more the business man trying to make money(nothing wrong with that) and CLOD shows it with unfinished features and no soul. Hes trying to do the bare minimum and talk his way through the problems on the back of IL2's history.
When you look at Jason from ROF you can tell he loves ROF(plus trying to make money) and puts alot of himself into the development.

The blogs from ROF show a love for and pride in their product and they feel the same excitment we do, plus they are full of info and done in a professional and classy way, the updates for CLOD are the bare minimum excuse for a update done in what seems to be about 5 mins to try and not get lynched, you dont feel love or pride or excitement in CLOD, in fact most of the time you feel let down and questioning what the feck is going on and the forums show this.

To be honest i dont ever see things changing with the series and it makes me pissed off and disappointed, i keep hearing about how CLOD is going to be such a fantastic sim with all these great features that just need a little more time to develop....how much more time? its been a year now, how much more time does Luthier need? another 6 months? a year? 2 years?

When will CLOD be this great sim? can anyone tell me that?

I think im just going to leave CLOD and posting about it for a while, il wait until the patch is out and then give it another look.

See ya in a bit.

Are you seriously evaluate the commitment to his work by Luthiers ability for social interaction? furbs, thats a all time low from you!

By reading your comments it really seems that you haven't got the slightest idea how much can get wrong with a project of that size and ambition.

From all the devs posts it is easily to deduct that the main priority is to get the sim running, everything else is secondary, especially catering

to a ungrateful, demanding forums-crowd, which numbers aren't really showing in the sales, if one can believe some posters who declare that 80% of

players are offline players.

And who cares how long it takes, as long work is continuing???

Do you want it fast and maybe with new bugs to whine about, or done right and taking its time?

Everything above imo, of course

And here it's the all time classic: It's ready when it's done! (maybe plus 2 weeks, be shure)

When is ROF going to be a great sim? You still can't have more than 60 in a server without major problems. You can't have any AI in the server when you have that many players, heck you can't put hardly any AI in anyways. You can hardly put any objects in a mission. After 3 years you don't have any sort of damage model in the cockpit. You can lawn dart your plane into the ground from 4000m and you still have an intact looking plane. You can't even kill a pilot without 4 bullets to the head. You have one map. You have to buy things like a fuel gauge or compass to even get the most simplistic of gauges in your plane. You have to buy gun sights that were factory equipped on planes to even get them. ROF is a dogfight game and that's all it will ever be. There's more types of vehicles (one small category of objects in IL2COD's FMB) than every single object combined in the ROF mission builder. You can't even change height of objects in the ROF ME, let alone manipulate them. You can't use any sort of programming code in missions. You can't even set draw distance. You can't limit the amount of a certain type of plane flying at once (but you can limit how fast they respawn????) It took 2.5 years for the 1st FM revision on a plane you paid $8 for on top of the already $39.99 game (yes to those new to the game it didn't used to be free). The AI in ROF are beyond abysmal. Granted default settings for AI in Cliffs are crap as well, but at least you can change them through the FMB and make them decent. In ROF you're stuck with retarded planes that only go around in circles. And SP, lol, you have a story to read as you fly with the most miserable AI ever in a flight sim. Then you realize that it's the same baron wasteland with no life at all (cause the game engine won't allow it) that you fly in mission after mission. Oh boy, what fun!!

I sure wish you were around when ROF started where there wasn't even an ongoing MP mode, where the master browser disconnected every 10 minutes, where you'd wait for 20 minutes in a COOP just to be able to finally play, only to have the master browser or server crash, then waiting another 10 minutes for the browser to come back up only to join the server, finally get in your plane to fly and have it happen all over again. ROF is such a failure of what it can't do in comparison it's not even funny. It took the ROF team 2 years to finally eliminate a CTD online, very similar to what we have in IL2COD right now at the one year mark. But the game engine will never be fixed. You'll never achieve a massive scale anything in ROF, because the game won't allow it. Our PC's won't allow what IL2COD is capable of...., yet. But it's capable. There's soo much more modeled in every aspect of cliffs compared to ROF in virtually every single category it's not even funny. You don't have a single object in ROF's ME that will destruct the ground in 3d. Say cliffs's embankments, trenches, AAA bunkers etc. These are all real 3d objects. In ROF you don't even have a trench in the editor let alone a 3d one lol, or heck even in the game. A WWI sim without any 3d trenches? Without any trenches at all available to the mission builders? Are you serious? lol

Yeah there's plenty of stuff broken in cliffs, but there's more working in it than ROF even has on the table. I have more objects at a single airfield in cliffs than what ROF could have in an entire MP mission without being kaput.

Please, I implore anyone that thinks ROF is such an amazing piece of software to make a map and fly through it like this. This is a cake walk in IL2/COD. You'll get every mission builder in ROF to laugh out loud upon asking. And the reason why is because the ROF engine is utter crap.

Here's one of many that just shows people racing through 1000's upon 1000's of objects placed in missions. Please, pretty please, I implore you to try to have any ROF guru try to make something like this. And when I mean something like this, just use objects from the mission builder in ROF to try to race through. Good luck lol.

I'm glad you buy into all the smoke that has been blown up your hind end. Not to offend you, but that's how most of society is and why advertising works for the masses/sheeple. Keep the blinders on tight m8. People that are begging for your money with "love" in the software industry are counting on it.

WTF bliss? did you even visit the link i gave you? what excuse can there be for not updating the website in almost a year and doing the updates in the manner they do? what impression does it give you and more importantly new visitors to the site?
I dont give 2 hoots about ROF i dont play the sim that much, ww1 isn't my thing, im comparing the the way the developers go about promoting and developing their product...you can change ROF for almost every other sim around and its the same.

I dont care how many objects CLOD can handle if it crashes every 30 mins.
How far has online play come in a year? where are all the servers around the world? where are the 24hour online wars we were told would happen?

Oh and nice video...when do we get the SU26 for CLOD again?

Wow, i give my opinion and im called a sheep. classy guy Bliss.
