I got the DVDs in the mail yesterday and have finished episodes 1-4. All I can say is "wow!" What awesome casting -GRRM could have written the character of Ned Stark with Sean Bean in mind - and character development, and the series follows the book almost perfectly. Arya Stark is as enjoyable on TV as she was in the books, and Tyrion Lannister is as clever and interesting. The only bad thing? There are only 10 episodes!

I caught the first few episodes when they originally aired on HBO, but missed a few and didn't want to jump ahead so I stopped watching(although I did hear one spoiler).

I just ordered the DVD set and should have it in a few days, and the girlfriend and I will watch them in order. A very well made show, in my opinion.

A very good series. April 1st starts the 2nd season smile and the trailers looks great. I'd link it, but if you haven't read the books it is a bit spoiler-laden (only a bit tho)

I started watching it again last night from the beginning. I saw all the episodes the first time through. Believe it or not, the second time watching it through is even better than the first. So many little things that didn't make sense the first time give you that "oh crap, that's what that was about" moments.

Just finished watching the whole series on DVD and WOW! fantastic program, lots of "you B....rds, you killed him/her", nice to see nothing is sacred in the show, and what a lead up to the great finale, now I have to wait until they release season 2 on DVD/Blu, hope it is not too long.

Now I enjoyed Pillars of the Earth, but, the GOT is on a diffrent level biggrin

This weekend's ep was great as usual.

I do hope some grisly fate awaits Joffrey.
