A bloody shame this magnificient aircraft was retired. It is still at the peak of human achievements in aviation, together with the SR-71 and XB-70. And they are all more than 40 years old...
Last words say it all. "Cheerio" from the US controller, and "Have a nice day" from Capt. Mike Bannister.
In all my years I've never seen the like. It has to be more than a hundred sea miles and he brings us up on his tail. That's seamanship, Mr. Pullings. My God, that's seamanship!

There's a Concorde on permanent display at the USS Intrepid museum in NYC. I was there 2 years ago and took the tour and I was shocked to see how small the cockpit was!

Yeah, the passenger seats were tiny too. I guess people were that much smaller just 40 years ago? LOL

Legsie is such a
I saw one in Paris a few years ago. What a graceful aircraft. It seemed to be going Mach 1.78 while standing still.
There is a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers exactly what the universe is for it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more inexplicable. There is another theory which states that this has already happened.

I love how all other jets at JFK ask for a hold in their current position to watch the takeoff
Has anyone here flown on a Concorde?
