Those flexible screens are very impressive.
I see the new iPad specs are released now. I don't have any idea what I would use such a device to do.
And yes, I saw some mention that it seemed a bit early for a new iPad model. I once saw a comment about the old Polaroid instant film cameras, that buying one was nothing more than an agreement to briefly test the technology. This referring to how models, features, and films would seem to come and go so quickly.
I often thought the same thing is true of Apple.
In my experience adblabs they are really useful for:
- Browsing the web when not in a chair
- Reading email and tapping really short replies when not in a chair
- Light gaming (word games, short play titles) when not in a chair
It really depends on how much time you spend in a chair

As for Apple, they have quietly become a monster. They are the worlds most valuable company, with a market cap of $500 billion. Its last quarter earnings were $13 billion. I sometimes think of them as 'the company that Microsoft kept alive for fun, i.e. the 'Audi' of computing, but the iPhone and iPad has changed all that (they sold 176 million devices last year) - with a halo knock-on impact on the Macs and OSX. It's crazy really..
