Hello, all Sim HQ Fans.

I try to build a BF 109-G6 Replica Cockpit for the PC Flight Simulation Games ( FSX / Battleground Europe / Cliffs over Dover etc. )
I think it would takes 3 or 4 Years to be finish, but i´ve got enough time smile
I hope you like it and i hope that i don´t place to much pictures in the Forum and
sorry for my bad English, i´m from Germany.

Horrido and best regards to all the simmers in the World

Update. + Bauplan smile

A .1 Flug Cockpit 109.AVI - YouTube

Update:

So weiter gehts.

to be continued

jawdrop What an amazing first post! Truly a work of art in my book. Some very creative solutions there in making this simpit!

What is the material you drilled/milled out for the gunsight? It looks like it might be a block of plastic/nylon. Since you used LED lighting in other parts but not there, I was wondering if there is much heat build up in the gunsight with an incandescent bulb?

Again, thanks for the posts and I expect you will get quite a few thumbsup. (And your English is fine!)
Regards,
Derek

Thanks for your friendly words. smile

The Gunsight ( Revi 16B ) is made of a special Plastick/Silicon Material. The Heat is a little Problem, but the revi is not melting totay and i hope in the future too smile

Thanks a lot for the great comments. smile

here is a little FSX Video. It is a little preview test from 6 Months.
i hope you like it. The 8(with Light) Gauges are from Flight Illusion and will work with FSX and Il2 Sturmovik. There are also some Original Parts build with the F.I. Gauges.

http://youtu.be/V6aTBYVklHw

http://youtu.be/FqYyTwt3gEA

and a second Battleground Europe Video. Its crazy, because the Stropes from the Cokpit are double. In BGE you can´t disable the Cockpit View. smile

Have much fun

Hello Weisse13 from New Zealand
I love what you've done with the Gustav. I am currently on a long term project to build a 109E-4 simpit. May I ask where you bought your replica gauges?

Hey Weisse13,
Also Fragen über Fragen...;-)

Messerschmitt80

Wiesse13, everytime I look at this thread I die a little inside. Your pit is a thing of absolute beauty - and if you ever decide to modify anymore hog/cougars - lemme know wink

Oh, and regarding the propellor, I had to call the wife over. I was speechless with laughter.

Everytime I get an arguement from her about my pit, I'm gonna refer her back to this thread. smile

I wondered hopw your prop would work with varied throttle inputs....And then I saw it....Your engine was knocked out so it slowed to a stop, then began spinning again as you fell out of the sky (I agree, beer may have been a factor in this crash).

cheers

I'll hoist a cold beer in your honor tonight, Great Job!

That control panel and stick are simply stunning.!!

Can you please make a wide screen video in HQ and put it on Youtube. The ones you have posted so far don't do it credit.

are the lights the correct colour they had them in ww2? I've never seen any original colour pics of the instrument panel all lit up.

@Weisse13,

This is simply top gun dude. Well done.

In my WW2 collection I have most of all of these including the Revi and KG13, did you make yours all from plastic plus your own PCBs?
I am curious, what electronics did you use for the gauges?
Did you make a schematic for what you wired up for the KG13 and interfacing to the Cougar?

Lastly, what do you do for a living?
Your skills and tools are not the average guy working in his workshop.

Cheers/m
