I wouldn't say the whole site, mostly just the COD and PWEC forums. COD has certainly achieved new levels of frustration for most given the state of the release and the fact that it's still not playable/enjoyable 9 months later. When people post their frustrations about the sim, certain people take it personally and feel the need to launch personal attacks and the arguing ensues.

At the end of the day its just a game, not real life, so obsession with it for or against is not very healthy.

No I disagree Furbs the personal attacks transcend all 'elements', we all do it. Sorry but this stuff just makes this forum more polar. By labelling people we set the stage ripe for personal attacks and the like.

I argue with Chivas all the time here as you know and its never personal attacks or insults.

Quite true, i work full time and have a family, i only get pissed off when i check the state of the sim, log in here or 1C, i dont think about this or any sim when im not.

And the 'other' thread was doing just fine until the usual suspect once again went into crusade mode and successfully got the thread locked.




There's quite a bit of difference between guys like Chivas who show an optimistic outlook on CloD development and argue their views in a polite manner and the constant, immature sniping some posters engage in whenever someone criticizes the game, the devs or the development process.

Sorry Furbs but you're not an element, though you and Chivas do represent well the two major 'elements' in this forum. I even saw Chivas throw out an exasperated shout out once.

I've tried not too, but I have definitely insulted people in frustration over the stone throwing. I understand the frustration of the wait, but this is exactly why we aren't seeing any developers doing combat flight simulators anymore, they've become too complicated and time consuming. We are mostly adults here and should have gotten over the Unfinished release along time ago. If you pause to take a close look, alot has been accomplished, but its taken years to get to this far, and its not going to be finished in a year, especially when they've had to rewrite portions of the code.

You mean other than, DCS, 777 studios, Thirdwire, Jet Thunder, Combat Helo, etc.

Well Force you maybe right there are other flight sim developers out there, but that is one sorry looking list(quantity). Jet Thunder? Yikes.

I would think flight sims are difficult to make, no matter how extensvie a flight sim developer list is.
