Damn, why i'm never be mainstream? Everything i like seems to be a niche product .

Ok, I will check out the Hornblower DVD series but boy that is quite expensive here (about 60 €).

And i remember the old movies from the 40s+ i watched in the 70/80s on TV and it´s a surprise for me that the are not much more newer ones.

I really recommend the Hornblower DVD series, excellent stuff. Check Ebay, you should get it (new) for ~30 €.

Rends, I take it you don't mind getting the "Original Erfassung“? Then you have a few UK options; The Hut or DVD.co.uk. Dunno what the delivery cost will be, but could stay under 30€.

I guess Amazon.co.uk doesn't deliver to Germany, because of Amazon.de

Let me guess, you're a male between the ages of 35-45 who likes things such as military history and intelligent historical dramas? Yup, you're in a small niche as far as the movie industry is concerned. biggrin

By the way, I just described myself too.

I bought Hornblower DVD boxed set some time ago for my mother but it was before the last 2 episodes were made, I now have that boxed set as my mother past away. I bought the complete boxed set just before Christmas last year from Amazon for £13 and it has all the episodes in it.
If you want the original hornblower set that I have, you are welcome to it. if you want it please PM me and I'll send it out to you. I'm in Belgium so it's not a long way to post smile

Robert Stack did 'John Paul Jones' back in the late 50's, but I can't remember the last time I saw it on TV. The big battle at the end, was the high point of the film.

Both are English only and with English subtitles only.
