It cant be true! they had pictures of people looking at the spit manual for FMs and everything, then a whole thread "Community help with AI" and now your saying a mere 5 months later its just a load of old bollox? nooooooooooooooooooooooo......................................
Still think it could just mean the "BETA" and not retail, look at the update from a few weeks ago......
"First of all, let’s talk about the upcoming patch.
We haven’t talked about our flight model for some time. We haven’t been idle however. Not only are we fine-tuning plane performance, we’re making some very deep changes to the underlying core of our physics code.
We are completely rewriting collision and landing gear, while also making other elements of the flight model more complete and precise. Control surface behavior and reaction has been significantly improved. Refined transverse velocity calculations in relation to aircraft performance. Made it possible to calculate different transverse velocity at different points along the wing. Improved pylon and loadout FM calculations. Added many new features to allow FM calculation needed in future sequels. Many of these changes have also entailed completely rewriting existing code.
And this is by no means a complete list!
smoke and mirrors Chivas.
Smoke and mirrors...no they have more serious things to do than worry about misleading you. It doesn't matter what they say or how they say it I'm sure you will find some kind of conspiracy to their commments. I can undertstand the developers being vague in the process utnil they know for sure which aspects will work well enough to be included in each patch.
Its unfortunate that the next patch won't include other fixes, but I completely understand the beta testing process and its much better to beta test the MAJOR performance issues without including fixes which could over complicate the testing.
I don't see the sequel coming out any time soon, so there will be plenty of time for another patch which will include AI, Commans, FM, etc fixes to be tested. They would probably like those features tested before releasing the sequel anyway.
