I think it was released half done, and what was half done wasn't finished, and still isn't.

Patience my young fellow. I'm sure when you google "presently unfinished but still being worked on" usually means it could eventually be finished. Now settle down Furbs that doesn't mean it will be finished tomorrow. smile It will be finished when its finished, but unfortunately and fortunately finished is a very subjective term. Even the developer who will finish some aspects of COD, while other aspects will be continually updated making it into a continually unfinished state. If you liked one finished state you could refrain from merging the title to the new finished state if you preferred the previous finished state. Then of course you will have to deal with mods, as a modder could feel the present developers finished state is actually unfinished state and mod it to suit their version of finished. Then again you will have the option to decide which version you find more finished. Ok I'm finished for now, but still working on it.

Ah, young Grasshopper. You seek answers, to that which there can be none....without first understanding the questions. All is in flux. There is no beginning, and no end. Be like the willow tree, and bend in the winds of bizarre sim development decisions, do not break. In winter, the seven stars walk upon a crystal forest. The propeller turns, yet never reaches its final destination. Yes, for its journey, and rotation is all. For all is impermanent. Complete, yet unfinished, and still all remains.

When you can hear the sound of the one armed hillbilly playing his silent banjo, it is not there that your journey has ended. It has only just begun. yep

Student:
Master Biggles, how is it that you can see through all of this BS? And how is it that you hear the sound of the one armed hillbilly playing his silent Banjo?

Master Biggles: Young sim fan, how is it that you cannot?

hahaha

Meanwhile, back on Planet Earth......

All of that makes about as much sense as anything else connected with CloD. Cheers!

I agree, its too bad those trees killed the frame rate, to the extent they had to end up using SpeedTree. Hopefully when they are doing the work on the tree collision model something will be done about Speedtree. I would also much prefer that the most of the trees along the roads were replaced with hedgrows. If not maybe some talented patient modder could change the trees along the roads, when the map making kit is released.

Bringing the candle Light of Zen truth to the darkness of sim forums is often a thankless task, Ajay. How little people understand the true nature of reality, as well as sim development. Believe it or not, the 'crystal forest' part is an actual real quote by 'Master Soen Nakagawa'. No, I haven't got a fecking clue what he's on about, either. I used to get a strikingly similar feeling of bemusement with some of good aul' Olegs Classics of yester-yore, too. biggrin

Still....When the bearded Clown is sorrowful and crys, do we not also laugh? yep Be as his tears, that flow into the ocean of being, and it is there that you will find your true self. Meditate upon this. For all will become as clear as the glistening crystal streams of Mount Fukajitsu, in time.

*Auuuuuuum*.

Alright, I made the esoteric 'sadness of the bearded clown' bit up. Sounded quite profound though, I reckon.

hahaha
