LOL

I hope to see Episode IV and V in 3D. Isn't GL planning to release one film each year and in sequence? I expect we can see these two films hit the theaters in 2014 and 2015 respectively?
confused

Seems to be the plan. I went looking for the schedule and that's all I saw.
I know it must take a lot of work to convert these, but doing it 4-6 months apart would have been a much better schedule, if possible. People are caring less and less about 3D all the time, and waiting a few years to see the best movies is frustrating.

Now don't get me wrong I enjoy the world or I wouldn't be here posting. You say I don't like it because it didn't turn out the way I thought it would and you may be correct. I thought it was supposed to be a trilogy about the rise and fall of anakin skywalker. If that was incorrect I had my expectations to blame.

What I watched though seemed like something that was thrown together piecemeal. I am used to the corny dialog...there was plenty of it in the first trilogy (4-6). The first trilogy had a simply created story that flowed from beginning to end...(f'n ewoks). The 2nd trilogy (1-3) just didn't have the same feel. Hell, anakin doesn't matter at all in the first movie...he could be removed completely and the story would still work. And in the last one, while we get to see his fall to the dark side, all of the major plot elements are driven by the emperor and his decisions. So I guess I am a hater, oh well haters gonna hate.

This is a very general statement but I think film is just like music in that often times (actually most times) you can't really explain why you don't like a certain movie or album. Both film and music work at an emotional level and if something fails to grab you and be compelling it's often difficult to nail down what the reasons are.

Having said that, I still enjoy the SW prequels but I take them for what they are. They are meant to be straight up entertainment with stories and characters that are easy to understand. They are NOT meant to be in the same league as Blade Runner, Gattaca, Dune or other sci-fi movies with complex, adult themes.
