Any kind of optics would have that problem, that's a range that is closer than even a battlesight engagement- uncomfortably close. Someone would have to have superhuman eyesight to observe rounds hitting that close through the dust cloud, smoke, and the distortion of the air from the heat wave.

The hydrostatic shock would probably vaporize a human target if it hit anywhere near him or on any body part- it's difficult for me to conceive they were actually able to figure out a precise hit location on a crunchy. Is it impossible? No, I suppose, but it's difficult for me to picture it.

For the love of God, what are we arguing about on this. I have "ignore" on so I miss some posts and only get the drift by answering posts.

"We" aren't arguing about anything here, but you make it a point in every other thread I'm ever in just to announce you are ignoring everything. It doesn't seem like it, though. I don't understand it.

Kontakt, it is an article for public consumption, I don't think you should take each and every detail as something that HAS to be picked apart. Overkill.

Not necessarily, or else, look at it this way: the aircraft enthusiasts here would love to pour over details about some kind of air-air battle, and they would go on for pages about every little thing. It just may not interest some what I'm talking about, but I'm interested in more details here. I couldn't ever participate in any aircraft discussion beyond general triva, but some will and do. So, the subject matter is really what will make some do that.

Must be, or it could be the Danish military is pretty lax discipline-wise . . . in the US you would probably get court-marshaled for giving your commander the finger!
