I would say that the R-73 chart looks very, very suspicious down at low level ... biggrin

I suspect the target is something like a B-52 coming in at full steam ahead. smile

In any case, thanks for the charts, they are useful smile

TOTALLY off-topic but...any chance that SAMSIM will eventually support other monitor resolutions besides the default? I'm afraid I can't hit the resolution required so I can't try it out.

A question regarding Vega:

Let's imagine you want to shoot at a target, you acquire it in velocity and range and you launch your missile.

Target will see it and will start to jam (at 6GHz so it will jam both GSN and 5N62 receiver). What to do now?
Is there any way to switch GSN to POISK V VYKL (home on jam) during flight? Can this be achieved by the letmost switch in the target tracking panel and POMEKHA switch?

I think not, because KRO is only a receiver. But what if you set something before flight (the leftmost switch, there is some options like AVTO PEREZAKHVAT and so) so when the missile detects jamming it will switch its GSN to home on jam mode?

After missile is away, nothing can be done...
There is some stuff against jamming:
-Compensation Dopler frequency changing )?)
-manual speed trackimg
-wide beam of speed tracking
-avtoperezahvat of speed tracking

When shooting against noise jamming like in the SIM, AVTO PEREZAHVAT should be on.

I'd say there is no such thing as too much missiles attack
It appears that Ustinov's request was dictated by actual combat experience in Vietnam and Middile East. He also requested the Osa (SA-8, which initially had only four missiles) to be equipped with 8 missiles. Designers could not fit 8, but managed to fit 6 to Osa-AK version.

So when the target starts jamming during flight, missile is lost if I am correct?

Current version can be started at any resolution...
...but you will need anything at 1280x1024, or above.

Thanks.
If I understand it correctly, then:
- MHI mode
- POMEHA BKL
- AS in PHI or V (whether target is jamming in case of its aquisition or not)
- UZK
- AVTO PEREZAHVAT
- but - what is RUCNAJA UKAZKA? manual setting of target's height or distance?

And what is meant by the term GRUPPOVYE jamming? presence of more jamming sources in the direction of 5N62?

PS: What is meant by KARTINNAJA PLOSKOST?

Now I find POLOSA SIR as one of the options for the letmost switch on the target tracking panel.
But what is POLOSA UZKAJA? I misinterpeted it as UZK setting of beamwidth.
Does it mean that all three options of that switch implicates POLOSA UZK?
