Here is a new short movie by Exclusive Movies, called ‘Brave Pilots’. I wanted to do something with formation flying, so I’ve asked MACADEMIC to fly a formation with Jes 1692. Before we go any further, I would like to say THANKS to these 2 members, otherwise I wouldn’t be able to make this short movie!
This movie tells the story of 2 RAF pilots training above Dover and the English Channel for a top secret mission. Their mission is to take out some enemy aircrafts stationed at German airfields. But before they can perform their mission, the Germans catch up the existence of the mission and plans a counterattack. It turns out in a massive battle above the Channel of Dover. Unfortunately, one of the pilots shot down and couldn’t bail out. He crashed hard into the ground and died.
Enough talking. I’ve tried to show off the beautiful visuals from WoP, like stunning landscape, detailed planes and great action! I hope you guys like it . ------------------------------------

The formation with the Spitfire’s where performed above Dover, flying in the morning with hazy weather settings. Formation P-51’s where performed above Lake Lentini, clear weather settings. The big air battle is captured by playing the single player mission ‘battle of Britain, channel dogfight’.
All the footage where captured by Fraps @ 60fps. The footage where edited to the music by use of Sony Vegas 9.0. There has been a lot of post editing within Adobe After Effects CS5. For example, the big explosions and fire at the end of the movie is originally a VFX (video effect) and cropped into the footage. Also the lightning of the ground around this big fireball where created by hand using some tools within After Effects. The plug-in ‘OpticalFlares’ by VideoCopilot has been used to put some nice Lens Flares into the footage. The camera shakiness had been created by hand using the tool Wiggle. Also I’ve used some color correction tools to give it some more contrast and realistic look (the green tones of the footage had to be removed). So there has been a lot of work into the post editing, but I think it is well worth it! I will upload some ‘before’ and ‘after’ screenshots, so you guys can see what techniques I’ve used.
Music used: Fire and Ice by Groove Addicts. I’ve used some footage from the movie Pearl Harbour to set up the conversation you hear during the movie. Also there where used some aircraft engine sounds and couple of SoundFX. I hoped you guys liked this video! If you got comments, don’t hesitate to post them, maybe I will use it within my next movie.
Probably a breach of copyright with the voice overs and music, but great video.I'm now flying wop with everything cranked up on my card and the visuals are stunning.I was going for fps with stuff turned down but now I realise there is no need, runs fine at max nvidea settings.Suprised more isn't said about the visuals in this game.If I had the cash(win the lottery) lol I would get the gajin team and dcs team together and do an ultra real series of sims, with gajin doing the graphics and dcs doing the detail, perhaps a vietnam carrier sim.....ah well can only dream lol.

Nice video. How did you get to fly formation? When I load up WOP it seems I can only fly solo, like there's not an option for putting a few more aircraft in your flight like with IL2.
Thanks for the kind words, I really appreciate! I generly used some 'basic'transitions like feather in/out, not to fancy.
@jeepguy It isn't possible to 'set-up' a formation flight in training mode or something. The formation is created by a playing a online dogfight with 2 players max. Instead of dogfighting, the pilots flown a formation. So it does need 2 players and a stable internet connection etc..
There are a few missions that allow you to fly in formation with AI, I remember some in the Bulge and Britain. Just look for another flight of friendly AI and team up with them.
