LOL.

Ya, I'm a little worried here. I'd be really upset if they moved on but that update was all BoM. Not what you would do if you were buckling down to fix CoD.

Can I ask this here,if this is the end of CloD,can I now take it off my pc,or will it be needed to run BoM?
If BoM is a stand alone,I may buy it,but only after a good long while of reading reports.
CloD ran fine for me,but the Battle of Britain it never was.

I don't know. They are talking about drivable tanks and useable FLAK guns over at CoD and not fixing CoD's problems so you can decide where it is going I think.

I still hold a little hope, just a lot less than yesterday. Its not looking good right now. I am considering giving up on this sim if something doesn't happen soon.

My reading of the updates is:

BoM will be stand-alone (you won't need to buy CoD), however it will be possible to merge content if you own both.

Most of the work that is being done on CoD involves engine refinements, not new content. So, there are a lot of new screenshots for things like W.I.P 3d models and terrain for BoM, while the work on CoD is generally refinements 'under the hood' (graphics engine, FM fixes) which can't be shown in updates.

btw. It was already announced, weeks before the Russian release of CoD, that the advanced weather model was too inefficient and probably wouldn't be ready until the sequel (however, it will be possible to run CoD content in the sequel).

As for drivable vehicles - they've been planned for several years and most of the code is already in the engine. It was just a matter of finding time to finish up some of the content.

So, I really don't see much to be concerned about... (other than whether we'll see Lysanders, Autogyros, the Med and Korea)

I just read the graphics engine patch is soon, not next week but soon. If in two weeks all we get is BoM updates and deferrals, I'd say they are moving on and trying to ease us out of CoD. I hope you are right I don't want this to be true. I look forward to the patch.

How long ago was the Sim released? April 26? so we're 10 months down the road and the ENGINE is still being worked on.

I hope all those who bought the game on release are going to get a fully functional And completed product, without being expected to purchase an add-on.

I expect words like 'enhancements' and 'added features' to be bandied about - to justify charging for the patch that gets the game to 1.0 retail release levels.

Anyone want to take a bet that we won't see a patch that contains all the engine fixes for free, with all the dependent data included, seperate to a payware patch with added content?

If that happens I erase my copy and never buy a 1C or Ubi product again. I don't feed fraudsters.

I think we'll see a free CloD patch before the BoM sequel...they need us to beta test it.
