Now tried Volkhov again against a variety of low-flying targets. Again, AAR shows height between 1,5 and 2 km for all of them.

It appears that something is wrong with Volkhov's depiction of target height in AAR: tragets are actually flying so low that they are touching the ground clutter, SAM's height indicator shows <1 km, but AAR still says 1,5-2 km range.

SAM is a weapon of defense. Most weapon programs of USA/NATO are for offensive/atacking the enemy, not defending the homeland...

USA/NATO always relied more on fighters, rather than SAMs... In this field, they always enjoyed qualitative superiority.
