Thats the one wheels, thanks! The vid is from April or May 2006, so to say that full development hadn't started until 7 months after this vid is a bit silly as claimed in an earlier post. That was just an attempt to make excuses for shotty release. They say in the vid that it would possibly be ready by the end of the year. This wouldn't be possible if full development hadn't started yet.

I said Pacific Fighters was done by Oct. 2004.

2004 to 2011= 7 years development time.

I thought it was pretty clear in my post.

I just wonder why you spend so much energy to belittle the efforts an accomplishments of the developers.

If I see a falsehood being passed off as truth, I am going to have something to say about it. Just as you would if someone said "They have been working on this title since 1998, WTF". I'm sure you would jump in to correct it. Idle hands are the devils playground, since myself and many others have not got any entertainment from our purchase 9 months ago as advertised, we are forced to frequent the forums since there is no point in flying the darn thing yet.

I just wonder why you come to the extended forum when it's known for voicing opinions? Or maybe a better question is: Why are you on the forums so much instead of flying this sim that holds so much entertainment for you?

You say full development started after Pacific Fighters release in OCT 2004 and I say it happened after IL-2 1946 in Mar 2007. Some work was definitely done off and on from 2004, but it wasn't going well so they concentrated work on the more profitable addons. Oleg said himself there was only skeleton crew working on BOB at times. These addons weren't development and implemented into the old IL-2 game engine by some mystical force. You suggest that the developers were incompetent over the last five or seven years, but the complexity of the development suggests to me there were alot more possible and more likely factors than that.

Chivas and robtek,

I figure folks get what I was saying about the dates from what I have posted already. I don't understand why Oleg would say in an interview in mid 2006 that it probably be out by the end of the year when people here are saying full development hadn't even started yet. Plus the fact he's flying a decent build at the interview and there are screenshots of finished tanks, planes, etc....but no, full development hadn't started yet. Ummm ok...whatever.

In the spirit of my B-Day, I'm just going to let it go.

Happy Birthday Force10, hopefully the upcoming patch will be a present that brings CloD closer to the game you want
