Not sure what you are doing Ice.
That file I uploaded just installs like a normal patch into the game directory.I just re-checked it to make sure.

When you run the other file 'mtc80_sabow_patch_beta5(jan12_eng)' it just offers to extract it to where you want.Make it the desktop for ease.

Then run the game,click on update in the games main menu,you end up at the game updater window.
Click on install,browse to the folder you extracted,click on 'desc.addpack' then click open and you will get the timer come up.
Once it's done just click 'save and play'.

Okay, after copy-pasting the files, I am now updated to 5.77 (1469) and the updater now recognizes the desc.addpack. Save and play and now updated to 5.77 (1496) Update jan 12b5. I guess that's sorted now then?

Lol, Chucky, copy-pasting files into a game directory has not been "normal" way of patching for some time now.... then again, like you guys said about this game...

There is no need to copy&paste. Just update.cmd and browse to desc.addpack. And this file (with subfolders, etc.) could be in any folder. After updating you can safely delete it.

Another updating instructions :

• extract the update SFX somewhere,
• point update.cmd to the extracted files,
• delete the extracted files.
