Hi. I'm trying to get rid of the global statics feature in Career B, it's kind of an immersion killer to me. I uncheck the "global statics" box when I create the campaign, but they are still there in my personal room...

Any suggestion?

Yeah, no big deal of course. But when I go to check my progress I see a guy with 5674 victories, and that somehow kills immersion for me, because there were no aces with that amount of victories in the skies of WWI (or any other war, for hat matter :P ) so I go there to see "hey, I'm 78 now, goood, almost Red Baron level, oh wait, that guy has 3250!"

Alternate universes where they have gattling lasers and A2A missiles?

I sympathize, and wish they would disable it. Playing a career is all about having our own separate fantasy (yet historically accurate) careers . . . the last thing I want to do is see crazy stats from other people (or any stats from other people) that are not part of "my world."

I have a 27 inch monitor and I have to scroll down to see my personal "standing" in the worlds 56th Squadron. If I don't scroll down I only see my standing in my "current" 56th.

BTW, what's the function of the "global statics" checkbox after all? Does anybody know?

Not sure who's idea it was, but I'd lobb it in the category of the Eastern European/Russian sim teams not quite gettting what it is we want in an single player career mode.

I wish someone would hire TK (or whoever designed the EAW career system for him) to design the career mode interface, briefings, etc. for Rise of Flight, CloD, etc. Put an excellent, authentic feeling career mode along with these flight sims. A really good flight sim career system would feel like your computer was back in WWI/WWII/etc. even when you are in between missions.

Global Career Statistics is the exact opposite of that goal.
