Hi All,

I'm probably doing something incredibly stupid, but I can't seem to get rFactor 2 to recognise my G27.

I click on the steering and move the wheel left and right etc and it doesn't pickup.

I tried Detect, and it detects my HOTAS Warthog (since it's a lower device # I guess). Maybe it's because when I first played it, I didn't have the G27.

How can I force it to use the G27?

ps I know the G27 works, it's detected and working in iRacing...

Cheers

I've seen that the Warthog will get in the way of your G27 (pun intended :p)

Unplug all other controllers, then try again... I've got a G27 and my Xbox controller stopped it from being recognised...

Well I already know that will work smile

What I'm looking for, is setting it to G27 without unplugging things.

I like to switch games all the time, and it has to be easy and that means I don't unplug anything I just move them around and adjust the Obutto. Also unplugging things changes the joystick id and scews up other games like iracing, so it's more stable than unplugging.

So there must be a way to choose which joystick you want - or else how would anyone ever be able to get something like Clubsport Pedals to work since they are a separate USB device...

Maybe it's because it's beta, or maybe we need to edit an ini file or something?

There's a setting in the Logitech Profiler to make the controller the "1"...maybe using that would work and it should only interfere when you've got the Profiler running.

well that's another reason for me not to get iRacing... I prefer to keep my controllers unplugged unless I'm using them...

Profiler is always running because I have logitech headphones, keyboard etc..

So there's no way to choose controllers with the game??

I know my friends who played rFactor 1 said the game supported multiple controllers, if rFactor 2 doesn't that's a major step back! People could never use custom shif

iRacing works with any controller, if you are unplugging everything else like this then of course it will work since there is only one controller.

But you said that unplugging things would screw it up... I'm confused...

I don't like having to go through and reset everything each time I load up...

If you don't want to plug/unplug and still can't get it to work, just disable it in the Device Manager.

I know this is possible already. Not looking for workarounds.
