Hi, Well this sort of thing bugs me to NO end.. They say Cable is Shared intensive meaning the more people you have on the same line in the neighborhood the speed drops and would probally the Ping times as well..
I would say there are MORE People on the ISP you have in your Neighberhood and now you see the fault with Cable ISP..It is good if there are FEW People On it..but I would if you are close to any of your Neighbors give them a ring or go ask how there Internet Speeds and Ping times are..
Perhaps you could find out if they use the same ISP as you. If so that could be all that is wrong More people on the Line then from 2 years ago.. Shared Bandwidth Sucksw to no end.. But I am Glad not many people aroiund here are on.. I enjoy releatively Fast Speeds and LOW pings..but it is Comcast..
the more people on it gets bad..I would try and check at an OFF Peak Hour and see what it does then is it normal then??
I would check on an OFF Peak Hour and see what the Line is doing then before a call to the ISP is warranted if you are thinking the ISP's is doing funny stuff..
