Hey fellas,

This might be an issue long-ago solved, but I keep having problems with the Kamov moving after touchdown and during the shutdown process.

Last night, I finished another deployment mission to touch down at a FARP. I made my landing and turned on the auto-shutdown process. Collective is bottomed-out; brake on. I go to F2 to watch my wingy make his approach and after a few seconds, I hear my EKRAN chattering at me. I jump back in my a/c and find that it's rolled all the way off the pad and is into the grass!

I've had repeated issues with this, usually while I'm in cockpit, during shutdown. In fact, I got to the point where I would trim the nose up to help keep from rolling. I use the parking brake keys but they don't hold.

What am I missing here? I can't but help think this is a user issue - surely the sim wouldn't have such a fundamental bug in it.

Thanks, T

Did you reset your trim? Also reducing the throttle helps quite abit.

Sounds peculiar. especially if you have the park brake on. I know the rotors will produce some force as they are spinning down, but to keep you moving all the way off the pad ??

Trimm as previously said is the only thing i can think off, and make sure your brakes are correctly mapped.

This is accurate behavior. The Ka-50 noses down a bit when it lands due to the sizing of the landing gear, so level trim while hovering is actually forward trim on the ground. After landing, with the wheel brakes off, pull just enough back cyclic to stop forward motion, trim there, then set the wheelbrakes.

Here are some quick shots I took to demonstrate the difference in attitudes:

Attitude in a stationary hover.

Attitude on ground.
