So, I just got a new Iphone 4s the other day. I have been running it so far without installing Itunes on my rig. There are certain things that I want to do that point to having to put Itunes on my pc, like creating my own ringtones etc. I love the phone, just hate the software for pc. I am not interested in jailbreaking the phone. Are most of you Iphone users running Itunes on your gaming rig?

What I do is have two user accounts created on my PC. The first has everything loaded (including iTunes).
The second user has bare minimum apps running and is used exclusively for gaming.

You sound like one who should have gotten an Android phone. I'm very happy with my Samsung Galaxy Nexus, which just shows up in Explorer, either wireless or with a usb cable... Just drag and drop any music, books and video into the phone, easy-peasy.

You can trim down the itunes installation.
By default the installer installs everything, however it's not all needed.

I can't remember what you have to install though, google it.
I disposed of my ipod and ditched the POS itunes ages ago.

***Edit***

This will help Install itunes without the bloat

The days of needing to shut down every non-essential background program or process for the sake of game performance are long past.

How so Speedo? I've been shutting down things in the event it helps A-10C. If I can skip that then woohoo.. It's pretty smooth either way by my eye.

I use Itunes all the time to sync my Ipad2 and 2 Ipod Touches. Whenever updates are available I allow Itunes to sync with
them having so many apps and games that are constantly updated. Never had any issues running it on my PC`s, all 8 of them.

I hate the fact it takes up between 100-300mb while WMP at max I've seen takes up only 20mb and still organizes files better.

My character somehow got all twisted up. I was playing the mission where you have to infiltrate the Golden Glow Estate and do multiple things. When I was out burning beehives and fighting I just eventually ran away to view my success from a distance. I first noticed it when I squated down on a tree trunk. Coot..the squatter../simHQ/2011
