Has anyone seen this horror film starring Daniel Radcliffe? Radcliffe was pretty good and the late 19th century English setting gave it a dreary Gothic feel but the story itself I thought was rather bland and the "spooks" were pretty lame.

I read that Radcliffe was very wooden in the film. I want to see it though as I like that Victorian horror vibe. Daddy-0...

Well he was playing a prim and proper lawyer from London so wouldn't it make sense for him to be wooden and serious? wink

I saw it. Thought it was meh.

I was excited going into it, so that may have colored my opinion. But personally, He is becomming wooden. He's starting to fall into that niche that Elijah Wood has, where he has one facial expression, and that is confused surprise.

Also, the film is the kind of horror movie that plays off of sudden camera cuts, sudden loud noises, it's all sudden stuff. There is no subtlely to the scares.

Personally, I also just saw Chronicle today, which I thought was way better. Just my .02
