Gothas gradually replaced airships on the London raids (as the war progressed). There were also R planes (but I don't think any were shot down).

Plane v Plane was mainly bomber interceptions, and some encounters between naval seaplanes.

the main action for these map are not he ones from the continent to england.....
thats more a nice surplus.

its more about northern flanders and the fight over the sea and along the coast line to attack enemy shipping and bases.

I think it is great news and I'm going to pre-order. As for BoB scenarios there aren't any suitable planes and without London the second part of the battle would be pretty much impossible. It does give food for thought so far as the future is concerned though.

It will be interesting flying in over Dover to see how it compares to CoD.

Oh yes, not nitpicking but the map says 'Canterberry' and it should be 'Canterbury'.

I can see ROF slowly, very slowly evolving into a WW2 sim if the market is there. I haven't flown ROF for quite sometime and don't know how much more work is required to finish the sim satisfactorily. When thats done I suppose they could start developing WW2 aircraft and in maybe five years or so expand the channel map to include London. Then it will depend on wether or not their game engine can handle or be modified to handle all the far more complex features.
