While the Great War Flying Museum in Brampton, Ontario, may not have the draw of Old Rhinebeck, maybe it is closer to home for some of you. I grew up and attended university in that area and unfortunately never knew it was there, otherwise I would have volunteered some time.

Their Fokker DVII was used in the 2003 film "The Aviator" about Howard Hughes. Not a bad film.

Anyways, check it out, make the pilgrimage if you are in the area.

Wow, I wish I would have known a few years back where this was...I came down route 6 from Owen Sound after having visited Billy Bishop's house right past that area, into Hamilton. I could have just as easily cut down 10 into Mississauga instead and taken a look. Cuss

Oh, well...maybe someday. pilot

Been a few times. A perfect outing on a nice summer day.

I see that video of the open house I did is still on the site.

Yay! smile

Like you Bandy, I spent a number of years in the Brampton area and didn't know the museum was there. There again that was the mid 70's and it may not have been there at that time.

Going to send the link to one of our members living in the west end of T.O.

Thanks for the link
